Business Development Manager (Distribution sub-franchise)

The Position

As a Business Development Manager (m/f/d) you will be responsible for commercial development of the distribution sub-franchise to engage more manufacturers to it. Additionally, you will support with regards to regulatory, quality, and other technical aspects of the distributed APIs and help coordinate the commercial access plan with the sales teams.

The main activities and responsibilities

  • Enlarge the portfolio of potential suppliers by evaluating opportunities and closing additional deals.
  • Contract negotiation and execution.
  • Supplier management and maintenance.
  • Provide understanding with regards to regulatory, quality, and other technical aspects of the distributed APIs.
  • Support global technical product management activities and projects.
  • Support new product or grades developments in alignment with Global Tech Product Manager.
  • Responsible for adaptation of current work processes and procedures in alignment internal stakeholders.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

  • University degree in Health Sciencies, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related studies.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial function ideally within the field of API distribution and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory environment for APIs worldwide.
  • Clear understanding of market dynamics for chemicals.
  • Fluent proficiency in English language (written and spoken).
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Planning and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking to drive improvements.
  • Ability to create collaboration and partnership.
  • Cultural sensitivity to lead and drive across regions.
