Saving lives in COVID-19 times: Mission Oxygen in India
The second wave of COVID-19 has had a significant impact in India and many hospitals could not provide life-saving oxygen to patients in need.
The second wave of COVID-19 has had a significant impact in India and many hospitals could not provide life-saving oxygen to patients in need.
In our mission to save lives and help people through this challenging time, Centrient Pharmaceuticals donated 20 oxygen concentrators to Civil Hospital SBS Nagar.
Alongside this initiative, Centrient Pharmaceuticals has provided an oxygen production plant to a nearby District Government Hospital. This industrial system generates oxygen using pressure swing absorption which separates oxygen from the atmosphere and stores it as pure medical grade oxygen. This oxygen is then used for patients to ease respiratory distress from COVID-19. As opposed to oxygen cylinders or generators which have limited capacity, the donated oxygen production plant provides the hospital with enough oxygen to support up to 75 patients.
Centrient’s Mission Oxygen is led by Centrient Pharmaceuticals India Private Limited Toansa and is one of our many corporate social responsibility initiatives within the neighbouring Toansa villages.
At Centrient, we stay committed to supporting the health and safety of our employees, as well as our communities, and see this as a crucial step in fulfilling our Purpose of improving lives by being at the center of sustainable and accessible healthcare.
