From India to Mexico, our local corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives are making a difference for people living in our local communities, delivering positive change across everything from health to renewable energy, and from education to employability.

‘Wherever we operate and driven by our company value of Caring, we feel a sense of duty to support the health and wellbeing of the people who live there’, says Rex Clements, CEO at Centrient Pharmaceuticals. ‘During the Coronavirus crisis that is hitting the world hard right now and impacting lives heavily, we want to make our contribution on top of what we do daily by supporting healthcare workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.’

In response to a specific request from a staff member of the Reinier de Graaf hospital in Delft, the Netherlands, strong debates in Dutch Parliament on shortages and the extremely tough Coronavirus situation in Spain, our company decided to explore possibilities to donate masks to hospitals in the neighborhood of our operations in the Netherlands and Spain.

Thanks to the collaboration between our employees in Europe and China, we are happy to be able to support front-line hospital healthcare workers in the Intensive Care departments in Delft and the Hague, the Netherlands with 20,000 protective masks and Barcelona, Spain with 10,000 protective masks and make a contribution to a safe working environment for them.

Donation of the masks to the Dutch and Spanish hospitals is one of the initiatives undertaken by Centrient Pharmaceuticals to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. In March this year, we donated 28,500 protective masks to local health authorities in Yushu, China. In Punjab, India we financially supported the District Red Cross in management of the COVID-19 situation in the vicinity of Nawanshahar and Ropar districts. In addition Centrient Pharmaceuticals supplied groceries for 10 days for 100 families in the local village.
