Story

At Centrient, we strongly promote inclusivity in the workplace. We work to foster a safe environment that is fair, collaborative, and diverse. On this International Women’s Day, we echoed these values across our entire organization, all over the globe, with webinars, workshops, conferences, and celebrations to honor the women we work with.

Each of our regions hosted their own local events with respect to local customs and according to any COVID regulations.

For our employees in China, we launched a new WeChat platform where women employees are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This network provides space for our women to have their voices heard. We also hosted local outings for our colleagues to recognize this occasion of women’s day, including a relaxing afternoon for our colleagues to go to the theater together and an organized group photoshoot with our women wearing traditional exquisite Chinese clothing, Qipao.

Our India team hosted a ceremony at our site in Toansa with speeches from our senior leadership on the importance of International Women’s Day for all of us, along with cake and gifts for those attending. For colleagues unable to participate in our in-person ceremony, we also hosted a virtual session focused on holistic wellbeing and financial education by a local expert.

The celebrations continued in Europe, with our Netherlands office conducting a mini-workshop facilitated by professional work trainer Caroline Pickard on bias in the workplace. The workshop focused on building a more inclusive work environment that uplifts our women colleagues and allowed for open discussion to collaborate on targeted issues of inclusion. It was open to both men and women and included a free lunch. Colleagues in Spain hosted a similar workshop online with 40 colleagues and speaker Nuria Pons to evaluate equality plans in companies.

Centrient Americas had the pleasure of hosting for a visit our CEO, Rex Clements, along with our Chief Quality Technical and Operations Officer, Pere Paton, for this special occasion. The local management team organized a conference with author, politician, and entrepreneur Lucy Perez on ‘7 keys of a woman who influences’, along with an open discussion between our women employees to share their experiences about living as a woman in today’s world. After the conference, Rex and Pere shared with guests an emotional message, recognizing the important work that women do at Centrient. Finally, the celebrated women could find some surprise gifts to enjoy a dinner with their families under their seats.

After 2 years of the pandemic and mostly working from home, it was exciting to have these gatherings and connect with our colleagues in person once again. Thank you to all who took account of local safety precautions and joined us for this year’s International Women’s Day celebrations.
