Story

Centrient supports the Indian government’s Swachh Bharat (Clean India) campaign to improve sanitation and human health around the country. As part of our contribution, we hold a free weekly outdoor clinic in two villages in the vicinity of our Indian manufacturing facilities. About 3,400 local residents visited the Centrient clinic in 2018 and 2019. These patients received check-ups and treatments and essential medicines, entirely free of charge.

Our Indian sites also run awareness and consultation sessions on personal hygiene and nutrition for our employees and our surrounding communities. In September 2019, we organised a nutrition week in the village of Toansa, including an awareness session on the importance of a healthy and balanced diet. We also began operating a fully equipped gymnasium in the village free of charge, under the guidance of a trained coach.

As well as providing support with health and nutrition, Centrient helps to provide clean drinking water to local residents, including about 600 households near our manufacturing sites. In 2018 and 2019, we also installed reverse osmosis machines and water coolers in 10 government schools.
