This role is required to partner with the business with an informed point of view and actionable recommendations based on building a thorough understanding of Centrient’s competitive environment. Making these insights available in concise reports and dashboard updates as well as presentations and discussions with the stakeholders. Responsible for leading business relevant analytics based on consolidated data bases such as Import/Export and production data on Intermediates, Side Chain, APIs, FDF and IQVIA half year update, to support the business in performing market/competition benchmarks and making strategic decisions for effective commercialization and forward business planning.

Key Individual Accountabilities

  • Be the BI business partner for one of Centrient’s main Franchises with an informed point of view and actionable recommendations
  • Consolidate, analyze data and derive actionable and relevant insights which are then shared with the relevant shareholders
  • Lead monitoring policy, industry and market dynamics related to competitors, suppliers and customers, reg. production, pricing etc.
  • Lead bi-annual CORE market share update to support budget planning and Strategic Planning process
  • Share, collect and discuss insights on business intelligence with commercial/franchise teams and evaluate the potential impact and next steps for Centrient
  • Lead correct processing & improvement of BI reports
  • Work effectively with all stakeholders (eg Franchise teams) to collect and provide data and insights
  • Support strategic deep dives and forward planning sessions/RAF in line with franchise objectives
  • Co-lead monthly BI call to mutually share information collected internally and externally, and evaluate the potential impact and next steps for Centrient
  • Complete ad hoc requests from API franchise related to in-market products or close to launch pipeline (M3 onwards)

Key Shared Accountabilities

  • Support optimizing Centrient’s GM performance in cooperation with global Franchise
  • Inform forward business planning activities (RAF, BUD, StratPlan etc) together with Franchise
  • Provide BI support to other Franchises
  • Oversee preparation of unified master data file and integration into BI dashboard (with total BI team)
  • Lead overall BI evolution of COMAX (w. IT)


  • Graduate degree in chemical engineering, life science, marketing or economics with significant cross-functional knowledge. Professional (working) knowledge with databases MS Office, Power BI or similar tools.
  • Good knowledge of the pharmaceutical market/ key players in API manufacturing is highly preferred
  • B2B and pharmaceuticals business experience preferred
  • Minimum of 6+yrs working experience preferably in pharmaceutical/ chemical industry
  • Commercial experience and customer behavior understanding in B2B context
  • Ability to partner with the business
  • Provide relevant data for commercial decision making and tailored to different stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and in writing (Powerpoint)
  • Knowledge of B2B pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the API space
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills and customer-orientation
  • High learning agility and lead in a cross-functional matrix environment
